Returns & Refunds
Our 30-day money-back guarantee
If the lamp is not what you hoped for, email us within 30 days of delivery and we will refund you. The lamp needs to be complete — lamp, base and adapter — and in a condition that reflects normal use rather than damage. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within five business days of the return being received or, for faulty items, as soon as we have confirmed the fault.
Return postage
For change-of-mind returns, the customer pays return postage. Where the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, we pay return postage and you are not out of pocket. In many faulty cases we will not ask for the item back at all.
Faults and warranty
Every lamp is covered for 12 months against manufacturing faults. Email support@wastedlamp.com with your order number and a short description or photo, and we will replace it or refund you.
How to start a return
Email support@wastedlamp.com with your order number. We reply within one business day with the return address and instructions. Please do not send anything back before you hear from us.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Customers in the United Kingdom have a 14-day right to cancel from the day of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Our voluntary guarantee sits on top of those rights, not instead of them.
Customers in the United States: some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this policy may not apply to you. Your rights under applicable state law are unaffected by anything stated here.
